Greg Webber, Vice President of Product Development
You might have noticed the many Jamis bikes whizzing along on the streets and bike trails of Melbourne. If you look closer at a Jamis bike, you will see the reasons Jamis bikes have received hundreds of positive reviews from around the world.
Jamis makes over a hundred different models of bike producing bicycles for everyone from kids to serious pro team road racers – with every bike in between
Safety and quality of your Jamis bike.
All Jamis bikes reach or exceed the same stringent US safety standards as brands such as Cannondale, Giant, Specialized and Trek. This provides you with peace of mind that your new Jamis bike will perform perfectly now and well into the future.
A quality frame is the back-bones of a bike
There are many small details on a bike that after a few years will really make a huge difference. For example, from the great value Trail X bikes range on, the frames are fully disk brake ready and compatible. This is one of the small yet important details allowing you to upgrade your bike. Most of the Jamis range of bikes have, “Size specific technology”, this means the bike is consistently proportional to the size of the rider providing a more comfortable ride and fit.
Rims, hubs, bottom brackets, headsets, tyres and saddles
It is easy to overlook the things that make a big difference when you are riding your bike.
All Jamis bikes come with quality components that will make your bike feel and ride well for a long time.
- The saddles are comfortable and are matched to the bike and the riding style
- The tyres are name brands and suit the bike (Vittoria, CST) in most cases.
- Sealed bearing bottom brackets are used across much of the range
- Wheels are always excellent value and are carefully matched to the intended use of the bike
- Quality brake and gear cables, handlebar tape (or grips) are installed
Gears and brakes
There is no point putting a Shimano 105 groupset on a bike that does not justify it just for a sales person to be able to say ” It comes with Shimano 105″.
Of course some bikes do come with Shimano 105 ( or Ultegra) but all the other components will come up to that level too making for a very high quality bike.
Where price is an issue group sets are mixed and Jamis manufacture their own high quality components which allows better quality at a lower price.
Servicing and warranty
Bikes DeVer look closely at the warranty and support provided by manufacturers and distributors before stocking bikes. Jamis bikes bought in Australia are fully covered.
